Artist Bio

Onyinye began performing at the age of six, debuting at various recital halls to play classical pieces. As a child she was involved with various piano classes, vocal lessons and musical theatre. Due to her exposure to music, songwriting started to take place around the age of seven. Onyinye composed her first song titled “The Measure” in 1997, and began recording some of her written songs during that time period. Onyinye continued to excel in piano, and learned her first piano concerto by the age of ten. She performed at the Carnegie Hall for the Young Artist Pianist Competition of New Jersey Winners recital in 2001, and at various NJMTA winners’ recitals. Onyinye was given the opportunity to display her talent at various school recitals, and was widely known for her classical pieces. After a four year hiatus from the recording studio, Onyinye decided to go back to the studio in 2004, and recorded her song “ Will I Ever Love Again”. With more than 30 self written songs, and a classically trained background, Onyinye will continue to use her talent to perform, and share with those that will lend an ear. She is currently performing at various open mics, and talent shows around the tri-state area.
