For the most part yes. However, an artist or a content owner can always choose to upload a clip of a song (recommended 30 seconds) at their own discretion.
We only accept songs in MP3 format (192kbps recommended). Moreover, The Indie only distributes music as MP3s. This includes any streaming, free downloads, or as purchased songs.
You will need to rip (digitize your audio) the song(s) from your CD and then convert the file to a MP3. iTunes, Napster and Rhapsody are just a few of the many programs that will rip a CD and convert it into MP3 format. You can find other free MP3 converters using www.google.com.
It is possible that an artist may have uploaded an MP3 that is corrupt, and therefore cannot play. When this happens please send a comment to the artist about the song, and if so inclined please open a ticket in our support system.
To change the email address associated with your account you must open a ticket in our support system. Naturally, we will need verifiable proof that you are the user that opened the account, so please be sure to include all relevant account details about the membership in your support ticket (email, name, account ID, etc).
