What is the account summary page?
The fan account summary page is a private page that displays information about a fan's account. It is your dashboard to application, and therefore, it provides a summarized view of your account details, added songs, added shows, artists you're promoting, and the last 5 actions you've performed when using The Indie.

How do I edit my account details?
You can edit your account details by clicking the "Edit" button in the account details section of the account summary page. From this screen you will be able to modify your account details.
Note: if you want to modify your email address you will need to send an email to our support team (see "Support") and someone will help you with your request.

Why are there no songs listed on my account summary page?
The songs section of the account summary page displays a random selection of songs (max 3) that you have added to your profile. Therefore, you must first add at least one song (click the Add button next to a song you like) to your profile before in will display on your account summary page. Thereafter, your added song(s) will be made viewable on this page.

Why are there no shows listed on my account summary page?
The shows section of the account summary page displays a list (max 3) of upcoming shows that you have added to your profile (closest dates for upcoming shows are given priority). Therefore, you must add at least one show (click the Add button next to a show you like) to your profile. Thereafter, any additional shows you add will be made available from your account summary page.
Note: If a show expires, or is deleted it will be removed from your account summary page.

"Artists I Promote" - What is this?
"Artist I Promote" displays the artists that you have elected to "Promote" on your profile for everyone to see. In essence, you are letting other viewers know that you recommend and support these artists. To promote an artist on your account simply visit that artist's profile, and click the "Promote" button made available on each artist's profile page.

What are "My Last 5 Actions"?
Basically, this list represents the last five actions you performed when you visited The Indie.

Can I customize any settings in The Indie?
Yes. Every registered fan can choose to customize his/her experience while using The Indie. To configure your personal settings simply select the Account and Settings options once you have successfully logged into your account. From there you can choose:
Your Favorite Genre: select your favorite genre and use that to drive content to you
Receive The Indie Newsletter: opt in/out of receiving our periodic newsletter
Receive The Indie Promotions: opt in/out of receiving exclusive deals for our fans
Send me my subscriber notifications: Determine if you want to receive song, photo, email and show updates from artists you've subscribed to
Send me reminders about my added shows: When you add a show this will send you a reminder email X days prior to the show date

Can I see how other viewers see my profile?
Absolutely! To see how other members view your page simply click on the "My Indie" menu option once you’ve logged to your account.
Note: We have added an orange alert message atop the page to remind you that you are viewing your account in its "Public" view.

How do I use my Indie Points?
In order to use your indie points you must first earn Indie Points, and earning Indie Points are easy! You can earn Indie Points (as an artist) by sharing songs, listening to songs, or purchasing songs. You can also earn points if you post comments, rate artists, or add your music to your profile. Additionally, you can earn points if you add photos, shows, or music to your profile. Finally, if you subscribe to receive artists alerts, or you invite friends you will earn indie points. Note: any abuse of this system may be cause for account deactivation and/or deletion.

Where can I view the indie points I have earned?
First, only a registered user (artist or fan) can earn indie points so register now. Second, you can view your indie point total once you have logged into The Indie. You will find your point totals located atop your account profile page (see Your Indie Points: Yesterday - XXX Total - XXXX). Finally, to learn how to use your Indie Points please visit "Accounts / Use Indie Points".
