Featured Artist Questions

1. Why should I become a featured artist on The Indie?
   Becoming a featured artist on The Indie gives an artist global exposure to all users of The Indie application (all of our widgets, applications and websites). This includes all artists, fans, and visitors that use The Indie on a daily basis. The Indie featured artists use the platform to promote, and market their music to fans in local, regional, national and global markets.
2. How do you become a featured artists on The Indie?
   First, you must be a registered artist of The Indie. Next, to become a featured artist you must have the required amount of indie points to submit your account in the pool of eligible artists (see Indie Point Help). Finally, your profile must have at least 1 song and 1 photo. If your account meets all these criteria, your profile maybe featured on The Indie.
   
   Note: your will receive an email notification once your account has been added to the available pool of featured artist.
3. How often are featured artists updated on The Indie?
   Our pool of featured artists is updated every two weeks. This gives each featured artists 2 weeks of exposure on across all of our applications and online properties.
4. What is the featured artist deadline?
   This date is the last day an artist can submit a profile to be featured for the next display period. This deadline changes approximately every fifteen days.
5. What are the required indie points?
   This value represents the total amount of indie points required to submit your profile to be featured on the indie. These points will be deducted immediately after you submit your profile. However, any deducted indie points will be credited back to your account if your profile is not added to the pool of featured artists.
