What is the account summary page?
An (artist) account summary page is a private page that summarizes information about your account. It is your dashboard in The Indie, and therefore, it gives you a quick snapshot of your account details, songs, and your upcoming shows. It also displays the artist’s biography.

How do I edit my account details?
You can edit your account details by clicking the "Edit" button in the account details section of the account summary page. You can also edit your biography by selecting the "Edit" button in the biography section of the account summary page.

3. Why are there no songs listed on my account summary page?
First, you must make sure you have properly uploaded songs (we only support MP3s) to your account. Once your songs have been uploaded to your account (to view your uploaded songs see Music / Manage Music) you can select up to 3 songs on to display on your profile page (all other songs will be made viewable in your "Music" page). Once your default song(s) have been saved they will appear on your account summary page.

Why are there no shows listed on my account summary page?
First, you must make sure you have properly created and added shows to your account (see "Shows"). When you create a show you must complete all of the required fields. Next, select "Promote this show" once you are ready for this show to be made publicly available. If you don't want to "Promote" a show you can deselect the button and the show will be saved in your queue.
At any point in the future you can update a show’s status by selecting the "Edit" option (only available once a show is saved) to change the status of a promoted or demoted show.

Can I upload my biography?
Yes. You can create, or copy and paste your biography into your profile simply by selecting the "Edit" button in the biography section of your account summary page

What statistics are provided to artists that use The Indie?
The Indie provides two types of statistics to registered artist. First, we provide "General Statistics" to all registered artists. These statistics include:
Total Streams
Total Songs Downloaded
Total Songs Shared
Total Songs Added
Total Average Rating
Total Subscribers
This data can be filtered to display data results from one website or from all supported websites (Facebook, Bebo, All, etc). Second, we provide "Detailed Statistics" to our premium artist members.
These statistics include:
Demographics (age & gender)
Geographic (city and country)
Enhanced Profile (detailed stats for your profile across all, or any site)
Enhanced Song (detailed stats for each uploaded songs across all, or any site)

Can I customize any settings in The Indie?
Yes. Every artist can choose to customize his/her experience while using The Indie. To configure your personal settings, select "Account / Settings" after you have logged into your account. Once there you can choose:
Your Favorite Genre: Set your favorite genre and we will remember it
Receive The Indie Newsletter: Opt out of receiving our periodic newsletter
Receive The Indie Promotions: Opt out of receiving exclusive deals for our artists
Preferred Hot Opportunity Genre: Matching opportunities are delivered to your account
Receive Hot Opportunity Alerts: Will determine if opportunities email alerts are sent to you
Hot Opportunity Alerts Sent: Determines how often email alerts are sent to you
Auto Publish Fan Comments : Determine if fan posted comments auto display to the public. If you change this setting to no, you must login and manually publish your pending comments (see Comments).

Can I see how a fan views my page?
Yes, you can! To see how a fan views your page click on the "My Indie" menu option once you’ve logged in to your account. We have added a orange alert message atop the page to remind your you are viewing your account in its "Public" view.

How do I use my Indie Points?
In order to use your indie points you must first earn Indie Points, and earning Indie Points are easy. You can earn Indie Points (as an artist) by sharing songs, having your song played, or downloaded, you can also earn points if fans post comments to your page, rate your profile, add your to their promoted lists. An artists can also earn points if a fan adds your photos, shows, or music to their profile. Finally, if fans subscribes to your account you will earn indie points. Note: any abuse of this system may be cause for account deactivation and/or deletion.

Where can I use the indie points I have earned?
First, only a registered user (artist or fan) can earn indie points so register now. Second, you can view your indie point total once you have logged into The Indie. You will find your point totals located atop your account profile page (see Your Indie Points: Yesterday - XXX Total - XXXX). Finally, to learn how to use your Indie Points please visit "Accounts / Use Indie Points".
