Ninci – nice on the eye, nearly there on the ear

L.A. Reid’s declaration on television recently that “stardom was never about singing” and that a connection with the public is due to one’s “lovability” might come to mind.
Miss “Ninci’s” appearance certainly serves as a boost for her “lovability” in a pop stardom context. Catchy hooks and familiar phrases galore could give her the type of “lovability” that will have the 13 – 17 female listenership downloading from their mobile appendages.
The track even has a really nice Golden Era Hip Hop bounce to it during the first 15seconds. Maybe that’s why the track that fits the first single criteria “my tears” has been peppered with her producer/PR Company/Management’s Tag. Understandably , for some of the aforementioned music stakeholders its a good tool for marketing and possibly a deterrent to would be pirates , but the continuous punctuation by the Tag makes the music practically unlistenable.
“Rock it just a little bit” is screaming for a music video so that we can get in touch with more of Ninci’s (koff koff) “lovability”. (Thank you LA Reid!). After all we are talking the same Ninci from Slum Village’s “EZ Up” music video where she strutted her stuff on the catwalk as Miss Mexico. Just look at the photos on the artist’s photo page to fully comprehend what I’m on about.
“Hollywood Social Lights” is pretty much a description of Ninci’s hobbies if the pictures are anything to go by. (Google is your friend). This will probably qualify as the banger of what she has available to listeners on The Indie since it has all the trademarks of a radio AND club friendly track as well as the most complete production of the songs available. All in all, Ninci shows little glimmers of greater things to come . We’d like to see her team up with stronger production teams and make that final leap into stardom.
