Artist Bio
Four guys using their voices, guitars, bass, keys + drums, to create epic, intelligent, sexy, propulsive, melodic, moody and catchy songs, delivered with the confidence, pomp and flair that is missing from much of today's rock music. BHL was started by original members James Poulos and Mark Reback in the creative hub that is Los Angeles’ east side. They've since added bassist David Wright, and guitarist/producer Eric Liljestrand to the BHL line-up and have been playing high-energy live shows around L.A., as well as being broadcast as the "Local Anesthetic" band of the week by DJ Julie Slater on KCSN 88.5 FM. Their debut full-length record "Seductio ad Absurdum" was self-produced at sessions at Malibu's legendary but now defunct Indigo Ranch Studios (Neil Young, Moody Blues, At The Drive-In), Jason Martin Recording (Starflyer 59), and at the home studios of Mark & Jamie. The band's sound reflects their love of the early '70s glam rock and '90s alt rock bands - from Bowie, T. Rex, Queen and The Cars, to The Verve, Radiohead, Kent, Queens of the Stone Age and GBV.
