Lego Lepricons is a Post Rock/Space Rock band from Israel. It was founded in 2011 by singer and musician Yair Ziv and keyboard player Shlomi Maya. Lego Lepricons:Yair Ziv (vocals, guitars), Roy Messiah(drums) , Nitzan Berger (guitar and percussion), Shlomi Maya (piano, keyboard and programming). After launching his career in 2004 with the recording of the song "Boee (come to me)", one of the most successful and most played songs in Israeli music history, as part of the Idan Raichel Project (one of the most successful and profitable artists in Israel and performs to millions around the world), Yair Ziv co founded Lego Lepricons with Shlomi Maya, Roy Messiah and Nitzan Berger - Professional musicians who play and perform with the most successful and lucrative artists in the Israeli music industry. The bands name was suggested by Keren Boshi (Roys wife), who's also the bands graphic designer and photographer. The group’s members know each other for years, but at 2011 decided to group and form a band with a sound and ambiance that are different than what they usually play as hired musicians. They've decided that the lyrics would be in English because of their will to go out to the world. In the end of 2011 they recorded their (mini) debut album that includes 9 tracks that they've composed together. All the lyrics were written by Yair Ziv. The album also includes two songs (" Well, I don't think so" and "You should have known) that criticize the current Israeli government's conduct in internal social affairs as well as foreign relations policies piercingly. Today, Lego Lepricons released their first single “well, I don’t think so”, and are on the road, touring Israel, slowly starting to tour the world.
